Does anyone know what excess flood means???! I'm getting d/ced every few minutes on Mircx due to excess flood and I wasn't even doing anything!!! And 'cos I keep getting d/ced, my script Sysreset keeps trying to autojoin everytime I re-connect to the server. This is pissing me off 'cos I'm now banned in a lot of channels and I've no idea what's going on!!!

    I always thought "excess flood" was an automatic way of booting people who were spamming the channel. For example if someone joins a channel and copy and paste the same thing over and over, then that person would be kicked.

    But since you didn't do anything like that, I really have no clue

    Good luck on getting it worked out though!

    Man... I looked up the Sysreset forums and these were the possible reasons for this mess:

    a)Serving in too many channels. As a result, there is too much data submitted to the fserver, and the client gets d/ced and keeps try to re-connect.

    b)Clone protection somehow can cause this problem to happen too.

    There're a few more reasons which I can't remember but drat... I'm now wondering if sysreset is still a good choice for fserving since I really don't want a script that goes around spamming channels. -__-;;

    Let's just hope this works out. ><;;

    Oh yeah... besides Sysreset, does anyone have any other script to recommend? And is Invision okay?

    Invision's pretty good. A bit more complex with more functions but pretty good. You could also solve the problem by serving in fewer channels or running two instances of sysreset.
